When you’re young, you think you can do no wrong. You live life frivolously, fast, and like nothing will ever catch up to you (okay, Vin Diesel). But it turns out, you probably will make countless mistakes that might cost you time, happiness, and your health in the future.
Maybe you come to find out that your high school sweetheart, who you met when you were both 16, is not the person you’re meant to spend the rest of your life with. You will come to find out that doing well in school actually does pay off. You will come to find out that credit card debt is the devil’s tonic and you need to pay that sh*t off every month or else you’ll live out your days on a ramen diet and no financial prospects.
It turns out, all of those raccoon-eyed Myspace angles and hours spent on Instagram didn’t, in fact, make you have better self esteem — that spending all of your time on social media did not bring you closer to friends, but instead, push them farther away. So, let’s all take a cue from the wise and older dwellers of the Internet, and start living our best life (preferably sans duck-faced selfies).
