Went into town in Montego Bay, Jamaica with my Jamaican bride. I held the door for everyone – old ladies, kids, old men, maybe a dog or two. She got madder and madder. When we got home she finally told me that holding the door means you are interested in them, sexually.

Once, when I was in Thailand, I had to buy tampons at a shop where no one spoke English. It got a bit awkward with me trying to mime what I wanted to the three male employees that were there.

When I was fourteen I was in a foreign exchange program and spent a month in Spain living with a Spanish family. One day the daughter, who was my age, and some of her friends went to the pool. When we were walking back we passed some bushes and heard someone hissing at us. We turned around and there was a grown man with his c*ck out jacking off. We started yelling then he ran off….I’m pretty sure that was my first time seeing a grown man’s penis.

After college I lived in Spain for close to a year working and taking Spanish classes. At the time I had very long, blonde hair and I can’t tell you how many times I had people pet my hair as they walked past me on the street. I would turn around and look at them like “uhh okay??” and they would just give a little smile and wave and keep on going.
