Fact: people on their cell phones are way harder to tune out than ambient noises and even regular conversation, because your brain is wired to try and fill in the gaps in what you hear.

And on top of that, 90% of people have this thing where they TALK LIKE THIS as soon as they’re talking into a phone. So when you make a call in public, know that everyone is, in fact, listening to you, and they are not happy about it.

14. Think before you post.

15. Don’t eat until everyone at the table has been served.

This is an age-old practice, but admittedly, there are exceptions to every rule.

If you’re the only one who ordered a starter, you kind of have to eat first… or no one else will get their food. And if you’re out with a big group (say, more than 8 people) you’re allowed to dig in once a few people have their plates.
