We all hope that our life will be filled with rainbows and cute puppies and great sex and familial relations based of humility, integrity, and love — but that sh*t's just too easy. People need to get dumped, feel like they just got kicked when they're already down, and have people wrong them in order to grow into full, pessimistic, and understanding people.
I'm talking about the kind of f*cked up things that make you really question the evil in humanity — because when you see how terrible people can actually be — you appreciate the sweeter things in life just THAT much more. Shouts out to the f*ckboy who broke my heart when I was 19. You made me realize what f*ckboys actually were, so now I avoid them like the plague.
So whether it's experiencing poverty or getting sh*t on in the service industry, there are some horrible things in life that will give you lessons in how NOT to be. Like, the next time someone completely and utterly rips you off — take notes because you'll want to rip off some other sad sap of a human in a sketchy speaker scam on Craigslist. JKJK. You'll know how to avoid sketchy speaker scams just like how I avoid skeezy f*ckboys! And that's a wonderful thing.
