The Trailer For The Paul Walker Documentary Is Already Legit Making People Cry

The first trailer for the Paul Walker documentary, aptly titled I Am Paul Walker, dropped a couple of days ago and it’s already ravaged the emotional wellbeing of those who’ve seen it. The 2-minute trailer from Paramount Network features a sneak-peek of interviews with the many people who loved Paul Walker — friends, family members, coworkers, directors — as well as clips of home movies.

We catch glimpses of Paul as a toddler, a young boy, a confident teen, and the man he eventually became. A man who remained grounded to his family and his passions, who despite his good looks and professional success remained compassionate and kind.

The Fast and the Furious director Rob Cohen recounts a conversation in which Paul says how the only things that mattered to him was surfing and his daughter Meadow. His brother Caleb recalls, “He always said he wanted to be a park ranger, make 28 grand a year, and live in the wilderness. That’s really what he wanted to do.”

Paul Walker was killed in a car accident in 2013 when he was just 40 years old. I Am Paul Walker is set to premiere on the Paramount Network on August 11.
