These 17 Babysitters Are Every Mom’s Worst Nightmare

I hired a young woman to watch my infant son. Slowly I started to wonder if things were missing. Maybe a pair of my jeans? Maybe not. Some spare change and loose bills maybe? I wasn’t 100% sure. Then a few days after my son’s christening, I noticed that all of the cash in the gift envelopes was missing, along with all of the bills and quarters from my older daughter’s piggy bank. I was so disgusted that she would do this. We fired her. We weren’t sure how much she took, but we estimated about $500 and she ended up paying it back, right after she was fired.

I was at a family holiday party at a family farm. About a mile from the farm (on the same property but out in the woods) is my great aunt’s house. Her grand daughter offered to babysit my 6 year old and her 7 year old brother at the house since it was more kid friendly, I accepted and paid her. About an hour and a half goes by and I see grand daughter’s car drive past us, towards the road. We call her and get a hold of her after 15 mins to ask what she is doing. She tells us she’s decided to go to a friends house. Left my 6 year old daughter and her 7 year old brother alone in a house, a mile away from adults, in the middle of BFE Missouri. The kids ended up being perfectly fine but it just blew my mind that this 17 year old accepted money to babysit and then just thought it was a-okay to leave 2 small children alone with no way to get to their parents but to trek through the dark woods.

My parents both had two jobs and my mom asked someone from her first job to only feed me dinner since my parents couldn’t. Woman agrees. Babysitter threw out the meals my mom precooked and made her own macaroni with Bologna sauce . I remember the grounded meat in the sauce was still cold and pink and the vegetables were raw. Later that night when my mom saw what the babysitter gave us, she brought me to the hospital.

It’s really hard to get time off with my husband, so when we went out for a movie night and left our five yr old with a babysitter (our neighbor’s 13 yr old) we were excited to be out. Well, we got home and she had given him ice cream for dinner but he’s lactose intolerant.. I told her that before but she forgot, so I found them both in the bathroom covered in his poop, crying.
