These 23 People had Unbelievable Paranormal Encounters

Supernatural occurrences only happen in movies and X-Files, right? Agents Scully and Mulder are the only one that have to face paranormal activity on the daily while we normal folks can go about our day without a care in the world. WRONG. There have been a slew of creepy situations that we can’t explain happen: seeing spirits, alien abduction, and facing monsters late at night.

Some things still can’t be explained: Roswell (shout out to the WB/CW show back in the early 2000’s), Marfa’s Mystery Lights out in West Texas, or the talking pugs in Men in Black (fine, that can be explained but still). The thought of running into a ghoul or demon is what nightmares are made of.

Let’s talk about how I could never watch X-Files when I was a kid, especially since it aired at the perfect time slot to freak me the f*ck out, right when it’s perfectly dark and creepy in my parent’s living room. NOPE, that’s a big NOPE for me. Fast forward to present day, I can finally watch X-Files like a normal human being but still struggle with late night binges of the show (I’d rather cheer on Agents Scully and Mulder during the day, tbh). These following people didn’t have the opportunity to wrangle up some FBI agents to help them when they faced their demons, though.

These 23 People had Unbelievable Paranormal Encounters

1.

I was in my room at around 1:00 am, and I was trying to go to sleep. I had just closed my eyes when I heard a very loud thud and clang right outside my door. It was freaky and I thought my little brother may have hit something because he can’t see without his glasses. I don’t know but I was trying to rationalize it. I get up and check outside my door. Nothing. My brothers door is shut across the hallway. I open it and he is knocked out asleep… I walk to the bathroom next to his room and look around for something that could have made that noise. Nothing. Fast forward to the next night. I decide to leave my bedroom door cracked open that night. Nothing out of the ordinary really except for when I see a light moving down the hallway at midnight in the dark. I was looking at my phone so I thought It was my sister walking in the dark and using her phone as her light.. I get up to see if it was her and what she was doing up so late. Well, it wasn’t my sister or any other family member. Once again, every single person in my household was asleep.

2.

The one that comes to mind is it was around Christmas and my brother, my boyfriend at the time and myself were getting ready to make gingerbread houses. My mom has an L shaped countertop in her kitchen which separates into a breakfast nook, so we’re all standing on one-side of the L and I’m looking at directions. No one was behind anybody and I had my hair in a ponytail. One second I’m reading something and the next thing I know someone grabs my ponytail from behind and jerks my head back. No one was behind me and I immediately grabbed my head and said “who pulled my hair?” The boyfriend at the time had seen it and was freaked out.

This happened when I was 12 and my sister was 15/16. I shared a room with my other sister, who was gone that night. I was afraid of the dark so I slept in the living room. Remaining sister & I had just gone to bed – me on the sofa, her in her room with her door open when we both started to hear this noise. Our dog was going crazy. He went to the source of the noise: The door that leads from the living room to the garage. He was clawing at the door and whining and his tail was between his legs. And then it stopped. Smokey came back to me. My sister says “Did you hear that?” Me: “Yes!” We both got up and ran to our parents’ room and knocked on their door but immediately opened it and ran in.

So I’m laying in bed when my husband opens the door to our room, looks at me cuddling our cat, and just has the weirdest look on his face. “What?” He told me he’d seen a white cat walk down the hall and he’d thought it was our cat who was obviously in our room.

5.

One night or early morning, I woke up in my room. I was convinced that I was awake because my room looked exactly right and I blinked a few times and my vision went dark. So I’m pretty sure I was awake. The reason I might not be asleep was the monster looking thing I saw was at the foot of my bed. (My memory of it kinda looks like a person wearing the Skyrim armor and horned helmet. But memory can be very fickle.) It told me a bunch of stuff, but all I can remember that it said was “Don’t smoke pot”.
