Once ISIS started using Twitter to broadcast their grisly videos and bolster recruitment efforts, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened.
Essentially, hacker group Anonymous did what any of your friends would do if you forgot to sign out of your account: they messed with their profiles. Only instead of doing something immature, like changing the ‘religious views’ section to ‘having sex with baked goods’, they replaced messages of hate with messages of LGBTQ acceptance and love.
Score one for the good guys.
