With so many people using deceptive practices to show themselves off in the best light possible, one Instagrammer is exposing the truth about the hundreds of photos that people see online every day.
Fortunately, not everyone looks their best all the time, and fitness model and blogger Chessie King is making sure she spreads the word. She focuses on humor and body positivity to ensure that people don’t believe that they have to live up to some beauty standard that’s not even real.
She started off with an actual book she wrote with her boyfriend Mat called The Couple Bible that, among other things, explains how people manipulate lighting and photo angles to present their body in the best way possible.
With this post, she wrote, “Put your hand up if your thighs touch when you sit down. Keep your hand up if you've ever looked at those goddesses on Instagram and wondered why theirs don't.” The background isn’t the only thing altered here.
