When I was a kid my parents hired a slightly-older neighborhood kid to babysit us… and she used to steal me and my sisters’ toys. We had these dolls we loved that went missing, then when I was at her house playing with her younger sister I found them in her room. I was so pissed and told my parents, but of course they weren’t confident she actually stole them so they never said anything. Thankfully, they believed me enough that they didn’t hire her again.

There was the a babysitter when I was probably 8 or so who said she’d play hide and seek with me, sent me to go hide, and never attempt to look for me so I sat in my hiding spot for a very long time. When I finally came out she was on the phone. Thankfully when I asked my mom to never hire her again, she listened.

15 year old babysitter took my car keys and my 3 children 7, 3 & 1 to the next town over (about 10 miles on a busy tourist town highway, a highway that has bloody in it’s nickname). She almost made it back to my house but was pulled over because she failed to turn on the headlights, It was 10 Pm..I pressed charges.
