Best man finished his speech by telling some story about how the groom had said of the bride when she was away on holiday “It’s kind of like a washing machine, you don’t really notice it most of the time but you miss it when the high pitched whining noise stops.” She looked like she didn’t know which of them she was going to kill first.

A few highlights from my own wedding: MIL wore white (after I specifically told her not to), Dad was drunk before walking me down the aisle, groomsmen were all drunk and trying REALLY hard to act sober during the ceremony, MOH got into a fight with her bf and disappeared after her speech to cry the rest of the evening (we have barely talked since, somehow this seems to be my fault?)

My aunt and uncle were married on a beautiful golf course overlooking a river. Some golfers drove their golf cart over TO WATCH THE CEREMONY. It was so incredibly strange and rude.
